As promised, the first Drift Session in 2008, produced by RC DriftClub! The session will take place from 10am to 4pm on February 10th, 2008 at Speedtech RC in San Gabriel, CA. Come join SoCal’s best RC drifters for a test and tune session, with free pizza and drinks courtesy of RC DriftClub! Drift Showdown Season 2 is confirmed, we will probably have events as follows:

February 10 - Drift Session 5, location: Speedtech RC, San Gabriel, CA
March 09 - Round 1
April - Round 2
May - Round 3
June - Round 4
July - Series Wrap-up (points series presentation)

If you look at the schedule above, you’ll notice a few things. First of all, there’s only 4 rounds instead of 6. After debate, Dave and I thought 6 rounds was a little too long - not to mention having an event outdoors in last years August heat was murder. With 4 rounds, this means that drivers will have to be on their A-game, as it will most likely be a 3 +1 throwout season, in which only your best 3 scores count.

Second, the schedule above does not conflict with the upcoming HPI/HB Challenge drift events this year. Dave, Edgar, and I want to compete this year, and the HPI/HB Challenge gives us that opportunity to drive side-by-side with you guys, this time not as staff, but as fellow competitors. Thus we made sure our events would not conflict with the HPI/HB Challenge series.

Third, the dates for Round 2 and on (marked with an *) are not confirmed yet. What is confirmed is that a round will occur on that weekend. Basically we’re not sure yet if it will be on a Saturday or a Sunday.
