IMPORTANT!! MORNING LOAD IN INFORMATION!!!
If you would like to be able to drive you’re car into the pit area to drop off you’re stuff, you must be in the parking lot in front of Gate #1 (http://www.rcx.com/ME2/Default.asp and go to the Fairplex link for a map) by 7:00 am sharp. We will be able to do this only between 7-7:30 am. Park in the lot and I (or someone from hpi) will come out and arrange for groups of 3-4 cars at a time to enter and drop they’re stuff off. After you have dropped you’re stuff off you will need to park in the regular parking areas. Parking is not included with competition entry!
Drivers may pick up their passes at the “will call” booth at 7am. (refer to Fairplex map for location).

COMPETITION FORMAT
REMEMBER - THIS IS AN HPI/HB CHALLENGE EVENT! THEREFORE HPI/HB CHALLENGE RULES APPLY (unless a change is listed below)… so HPI bodies, HPI wheels, HPI Tires, HPI or Hot Bodies chassis.
- There will be a driver’s decal sheet similar to RC DriftClub sheet (windshield visor/door panels) that drivers must run at the event.
- Bring your usual racing gear (tables, chairs, EZup’s) There should be 110AC power available, so bring power strips and extension cords.
- Time is tight; anyone not ready will get a DNF. make sure you know when you’re up, and be ready!
- We’re running a single T-Drift class and a single Time Attack class at RCX, so heads up on that.
- T-Drift tires only (this is an HPI/HB Challenge event)
- Brackets are single elimination, winner advances, sudden death rules apply.
- Bracket 1 will be seeded according to Challenge #1.
- Bracket 2 will be seeded according to the results of Bracket 1.
- Bracket 3 will be seeded according to the results of Bracket 2.
- Bracket 3 is the “money bracket” i.e. the winners of Bracket 3 get the big event prizes for the weekend.
- Tiebreakers go to the driver with the highest seed after Bracket 1
Thus, you’ll want to position yourselves high on the seeding in both Bracket #2 AND #3 to get the best chance of winning it all.
Time Attack will be the same as HPI/HB Challenge #1 and RC DriftClub “Drift Attack” current rules (HPI Radial Type-A tires only), with the following modifications:
- Lap times will be added together throughout the entire weekend.
- Lowest combined time by the end of Sunday wins. Thus you’ll want to do well BOTH days to get the best chance.
- Each line cross = +3 seconds. That means if ANY part of the car that crosses over the track lines.
- 2 warmup, 2 timed laps per driver; Tiebreaker will go to the driver with the fastest single session time.
TRACK INFO
It’s concrete not blacktop. 48×24 drift track (same as HPI/HB Challenge #1). Note that the start/finish line and the focus points on the track for tandem are different from HPI/HB Challenge #1.
